About BarnBurner Design

Maximum Results. Minimal Fuss.

BarnBurner Design provides efficient and convenient design services with fixed-fee pricing. We are available in person in the greater Knoxville area and anywhere else through our eDesign program.

The concept for BarnBurner Design was born as Bethany spent time working in the design industry. She saw the frustration and confusion of clients who came to her for just one element of their project. Every client’s parting question was always the same: “Now what do I do?”

Barnburner: An exciting,
thrilling or impressive event.

BarnBurner Design answers these questions and provides solutions for our clients:

Where do I begin?
What comes next in the process?
Where should I get materials?
Can I get this look with my budget?
What selections are timeless and will have longevity?
How do I make updates while still honoring the original style of my home?
Why did this gray paint turn purple on my wall?

Behind the design

Meet Bethany

Bethany is a lifelong creative who produced an impressive body of work on
the back of church bulletins in her early years. She was an award-winning student and athlete, earning a B.S. from Marywood University and a M.A. from the University of Tennessee. She has practiced as a Speech Language Pathologist for more than 15 years. She is her friends’
and family’s go-to for design and color advice. She is a Certified True Colour Expert. The pandemic brought a unique opportunity to make her passion into a business. Bethany lives in West Knoxville with her husband, Wes. Together they have 2 daughters, 2 dogs and have owned more than 50 Toyota Land Cruisers.

The nitty-gritty

If you answer “yes” to any of these questions, BarnBurner Design is the solution for you!

You already have decision-fatigue after adding 10 pins to your Kitchen Remodel board.
You have applied multiple paint samples to your wall and still don’t know the right color.
You don’t want to leave work to visit showrooms with banker’s hours.

The thought of taking your children (or spouse!) to multiple showrooms makes you cringe.
You want to spend Saturdays on the lake, not dragging flooring samples around.
You don’t want to fall victim to a trend that looks fresh but will instantly date your home.
